The Emiquon Audubon Society is supporting local schools participating in the Junior Winter Birdfeeder Challenge, a project of the Illinois Audubon Society. Ten local teachers will receive feeding stations from EAS to help them participate in this project which takes place from November through February. The teachers and their students maintain the bird feeders and make periodic observations throughout the winter to document the types of birds visiting their feeders. The data is recorded using the forms provided below and sent to Jo Skoglund, who will compile the information and share it with IAS as well as the participating schools.
